Scopus Preview
copus® is an abstract and analytical database containing abstracts and citation information for peer-reviewed scientific literature, with built-in tools for data analysis and visualization.(!) According to the RCNI in 2023: Elsevier showed no interest in cooperation with the Russian Federation. The company's office in Russia is closed. The publishing house does not plan to resume cooperation with the Russian Federation in the near future.Since the beginning of January, access to Scopus has been disabled for all Russian organizations. Only Scopus Preview mode is available,
which allows you to view the list of Scopus sources or the author's profile. In the list of sources, you can both search by title, ISSN and scientific field using all possible filters, as well as view detailed information for each journal. The search for authors is possible both by last name and first name, and by ORCID identifier.
The author profile itself contains information on the total number of publications and citations, the Hirsch index, the number of co-authors, as well as a link to the author's profile in ORCID (if any) and the ability to link Scopus data to an ORCID profile or proceed to create it. In addition, the link to edit the profile is active, but the editing itself is available only if the author has logged into Scopus with his previously registered personal login and password (the blue button at the top right "Login"). If you don't have one yet, you can create an account (link at the top of the "Create an account" page) and start adjusting your own profile. Restrictions for viewing the author's profile - detailed information only for the last 10 publications. You can view publication identifiers in Scopus to add them to the publication description in PURE if it is impossible to import from the corresponding database in your profile in ORCID, if synchronization with Scopus is configured in it.

DOI in Modern Scientific Communication
Since 2000, Digital Object Identifier (DOI) users have been able to find electronic versions of the books, articles, and other scientific documents they need in “one-click”. For scientific documents having a DOI and including this identifier in the bibliographic description is becoming a mandatory requirement for journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. Russian and Belarusian scientific publications are just starting to get the identifier. Ten registration agencies assign a DOI. Authors describe experiences with DOI and ways to resolve issues through the Crossref registration agency.

Scientific Digital Library elibrary.ru
elibrary.ru, Russia’s largest digital library for scientific publications, has robust search capabilities and scientific information analysis. The library is integrated with the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), a free publicly available tool for measuring the publication activity of scientists and organizations, that was created by the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science. eLIBRARY.RU and RSCI are developed and supported by the “Scientific Digital Library” company.
