China Academic Journals Full text database (CAJ) is the world's largest full-text database of Chinese academic periodicals, containing 8,690 Chinese academic journals, including more than 1,970 journals listed as key journals of Peking University, and 4,840 Online First journals, which provide access to articles on the CNKI platform before their official publication in traditional format. The platform contains over 65 million full-text articles.
The database covers key disciplinary areas: engineering and technology, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, and the arts, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanics, astronomy, metallurgy, materials science, mining, construction, transportation, digital and information technology, robotics, electronics, energy, ecology, agriculture, military science, literature, philosophy, history, education, sociology, political science, law, medicine and healthcare, economics, business, management, and much more.
For user convenience, since articles in the journals in the collection are presented in Chinese, the platform has an English-language interface with the ability to search in English or Chinese, across the entire list of publications, within thematic collections of publications, or within an individual journal.
