READING ROOM

The reading room is a part of the NSU Library Support Services Department. Its subsidiary catalog is based on the University curricula and programs conducted by departments and institutes. This catalog includes more than 20 thousand listings of scientific, educational, methodological, and reference materials as well as encyclopedias and encyclopedic dictionaries. The reading room receives specialized academic and popular science magazines.

Library card holders have access to a full range of physics, mathematical, natural, and social sciences materials. The composition and contents of the reading room subsidiary catalog is available in the unified NSU Library reference and search system:

digital catalog (DC);

traditional card catalog.

Information and library services for users are provided according to the NSU Library Rules. Material is reserved with a library card and distributed in the reading room.

Main services:

respond to user’s in-person and digital requests for materials from the reading room subsidiary catalog as well as for materials from the Book Storage Department’s main catalog;

provide access to the digital catalog, local, and remote academic and educational resources;

consult on locating information;

respond to inquiries;

Organize thematic book exhibitions and presentations of materials, exhibitions of new arrivals, including virtual exhibitions on the NSU Library website.
