The Library Card Section for educational and academic literature is part of the NSU Library Support Services Department. A library card provides differentiated services to holders by categories, levels of knowledge, and type of material. Staff quickly fills orders based on card holder’s requests, as well as digital orders.
A library card for educational and academic materials allows material to be checked out for temporary home use. Students receive course and methodological materials for one semester. Academic literature is issued for a period of two months.
The subsidiary book catalog for library card holders is developed according to the curricula and programs of all University departments. This catalog is regularly updated with new educational and methodological books to best serve the needs of students and faculty.
Here, library card holders can request books and magazines from the main catalog. For this, it is necessary to fill out a special request form. A request for material from the storage department is usually ready in 30-40 minutes and is held for the library card holder for three days from the time of the request.
To make a digital request, the library card holder needs to get a password from the registration section that will be used to enter the digital catalog (Room 217a, passageway, 1st floor).
At the beginning of the academic year, Library Card Section staff distribute sets of textbooks to first-year students in all NSU departments.
