Delegation of the Polar State University named after N. M. Fedorovsky

On December 1, the delegation of the N.M. Fedorovsky Polar State University, accompanied by the NSU Vice-Rector for General Affairs S.I. Malinovsky visited the Scientific Library of NSU. During a tour of the new premises of the library, guests toured the reading room, the creative student space, and then the lending library for educational and scientific literature. At the fiction subscription, an exhibition of miniature books attracted attention.

One could feel the keen interest of our northern colleagues in the process of the library’s work:how many students are served, how many seats, operating hours, how the collection is updated, how books are taken out of storage, what electronic library systems are available – many issues that the guests themselves may soon have to resolve anew, because the ZGI is undergoing major renovations.

Particularly impressed was the automatic book scanner ELARobot R-2 with a scanning speed of up to 1200 pages per hour, installed in the automation department. Everyone was in high spirits, their faces were beaming with smiles, many announced their intention to use the Nizhny Novgorod State University electronic library and the electronic catalogue.
