Updating the electronic library

On January 27, the NSU electronic library will be transferred from the platform Xerox Docushare for a product from Russian developers, company «Open Library Systems».

What new opportunities will appear?

- the number of search parameters will increase fourfold, attribute search will appear;

- viewing documents in the browser will become faster;

- facets are formed in the search results to make searching easier;

- detailed information about each document will be displayed in a convenient tabular form;

- the list of documents obtained as a result of the full-text search is sorted by relevance;

- the interface will appear in English;

- for multi-volume editions, links between volume and issue titles will be available;

- statistics on resource usage will appear, including a list of the most popular documents;

- users will have a personal account where they can create collections of selected resources, notes from fragments of electronic works, view the history of search queries.
