Lecture on Plato

Another lecture on Plato was read in our library.

Listeners learned many interesting details from the biography of Plato — about his childhood, upbringing and the historical context of events, about his youthful quest (his tragedy was going to be staged in the theater!), about his meeting with the (terrible) Socrates, about slavery, wanderings, training, returning to his homeland and, of course, the creation of the Academy.
