The NSU Scientific Library congratulates dear readers on the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture!

May 24 (new style) – the day of memory of Cyril and Methodius established by the church. It is now celebrated in Russia as a public holiday of Russian history and culture.

This date is associated with the names of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles brothers Cyril and Methodius – Slavic enlighteners, creators of the Slavic alphabet, preachers of Christianity, the first translators of liturgical books from Greek into Slavonic. It was they, the Bulgarian educators Cyril and Methodius, who created the first Slavic alphabet, which we use to this day.

The NSU Scientific Library invites readers to traditional book exhibitions dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture:
