Happy Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War!

The NSU Scientific Library congratulates dear readers on Victory Day! This is a glorious day of the people who won a war unprecedented in the history of mankind. Victory lives forever in every heart.
How consonant with our feelings are these lines of Rasul Gamzatov:
"I often sense that our fallen soldiers,
who left on battlefields their bloody stains,
did not lay down in their graves for solace –
but have been transformed into white-winged cranes.
And we have seen since many years ago:
they soar above and send their mournful cry.
We are transfixed with our deepest sorrow
becoming speechless as the cranes soar by".
(Translated by Zinovy Korovin)
By Victory Day, our Scientific Library offer thematic virtual exhibitions. This modern format gives readers an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the publications collected together from different departments of our library. Virtual exhibitions are posted on the website of the NSU Scientific Library.
The library of NSU sacredly preserves this memory and on May holidays, for many years now, has been inviting readers to traditional book viewings and exhibitions dedicated to the great and glorious date.
Now,the Fiction Lending Library invites readers to view the exibition

Also, today we are pleased to present a new exhibition dedicated to the Great Victory –
This exhibition contains unique historical and cultural materials. They captured a vivid image of the war years through the prose and poetry of front-line writers. We seem to be flipping through time itself. The pages of the exhibition are a real illustrated history of those very years!
Dear readers, happy, happy Victory Day!
