In love with reading
Dear readers!
What could be better than sharing positive emotions with your loved ones? Perhaps only mastery of the word can compete – a spiritual violin that can erase any differences between people, filling the gaps with a wealth of meanings. Both love and the book unite people in a deep inner impulse, make them talk about them and about the people who let them through themselves – whether they scream or whisper, trumpet the whole world in their videoblog or intimately, at the hearth, face to face, share a piece of their souls.
The poetic ability to perceive life sharply is available to lovers and writers: perhaps that is why the world-famous Valentine's Day now shares its date with another wonderful celebration – International Book Giving Day. This holiday is an opportunity to discover a new fascinating universe, whether it be a classic novel, biography, poetry or detective story, and also to share your favorite book with other people.
The Scientific Library of NSU invites its readers to a book donation week, which will be held from February 6 to 14 in the Conference Room of the Scientific Library, room 207a of the classroom building. Here, the employees of the Fiction Lending Library will offer you several thematic book groups, among which there is literature for every taste and outlook:
6.02 – books from the Library of World Literature (LWL) and Literary Monuments (LM) series.
7.02 – collected works of Russian and Soviet classics.
8.02 – collected works of European and another foreign classics.
9.02 – poetry.
10.02 – detective stories, science fiction and adventures.
13.02 – what's left for last day: summing up the results of the donation week – readers have the last opportunity to take a book they like from any of the categories presented.
14.02 – we are holding a book lottery! To participate, you must do the following:
- choose from the books you have read the one that made a strong impression on you and which you are ready to share in order to open your favorite book world to others and find like-minded people
- pre-pack the book in an opaque bag or wrapping paper
- leave a card with your name to participate in the lottery
- bring the book from the 6th to the 14th to the Fiction Lending Library, room 201a of the classroom building, working hours from 9:00 to 17:45
- visit the the Conference Room of the Scientific Library, room 207a of the classroom building, during the book draw on February 14 from 14:00 to 15:00 (if you want to pick up the book right away)
All the books drawn in the lottery will be waiting for their owners in the Fiction Lending Library.

NB! The fund for International Book Giving Day was created for several years by books from private libraries. All the books presented in it are available in the fund of the NSU Scientific Library in an amount corresponding to the reader's demand.
